Anne Dugas, daughter of Abraham Dugas and Marguerite Doucet, was born around 1654.[1]
When Anne married Charles Bourgeois, son of Jacques Bourgeois and Jeanne Trahan, in around 1668, she was about 14 years of age. No location for the marriage is given by Stephen White . They had four children: two sons and two daughters.
She was counted twice in the 1671 census of Port-Royal: once with her parents and seven siblings, and again with her husband Charles Bourgeois and their young daughter.[2]
After Charles passed away, Anne married Jean-Aubin Mignot dit Châtillon, son of Jean Mignot and Louise Cloutier, in 1679 in Beaubassin.[3] They had six children.
The family seemed to be doing well in Beaubassin in 1686 with a growing family, farm animals and cultivable land. [4] They appeared again in the censuses of 1693[5], 1698[6], and 1700[7] in Beaubassin.
Anne was on the 1716 census at Québec, at home of Marguerite Caissie, (wife of Francois Mangeant). [1]
Anne passed away on 4 November 1740 at the age of around 85, and was interred in Beaubassin the next day.[8]
